To begin with we noticed that this product is thinner than Mannington’s Adura Max® Luxury Vinyl Plank and Adura Max® Luxury Vinyl Tile counterparts. The reason being is that the core of this product is much denser that its predecessor. A higher density core means the overall product profile can be thinner. Do not let this fool you though. This product is a real performer.
It does not have an attached pad like it’s Adura Max® counterparts, but you can use a high density polyurethane pad for superior sound reduction if you would like during installation. It is designed to be installed within spec of all traditional locking floating flooring floors. During installation, make sure your area is clean, free of gaps greater than .25” and level to within .50” over 16’.
After having worked with this product, its locking mechanism, based on Mannington’s time tested Lock-Solid® technology, has proven to be strong and reliable due to the high density of its core material. When this product is properly secured joints are flush and almost invisible to the eye.
Overall, the greatest strength of this product is its resistance to moisture. As Mannington’s newest entry in the Waterproof Luxury Vinyl flooring market, it’s Rigid-Core material and wear-layer make it impervious to water, pet stains, and just about anything else you could throw at it. Our favorite feature of this particular line is that it is freeze/ thaw stable up to -20 degrees. This makes it ideal for second homes and vacation properties that often exist in cooler climates. The density of this product helps it resist dents and its urethane wear layer offers great protection against scuffs and scratches. All boards are a standard 7” X 48” and 4.5 mm or 0.18” thick and come 23.34 sq. ft. to a carton.
